How come some of powered off vm 's are getting powered on using DRS ,DRS is fully automated .
Weird. Do you have Horizon View? If so are you sure its not that doing it?
No we don't have horizon
I doubt DRS actually powered the VM on. It would have been involved in the VM placement on a host after the VM was powered on.
Any clues in the Tasks or Events for the VM, the host or cluster? How about the VM's own logs?
Event is showing machine has been powered on by DRS
Is there an "Initialize powering on" task in Datacenter > Monitor > Taskas and Events > Tasks?
What does it have as the "Initiator"?
