and the shell through putty is not possible to login with root ...
I think that the french keyboard is not good, Inside the console (directly near the ESXI server)
IN FACT, I have this problem : "Remote access for ESXi local user account 'root' has been locked for 120 seconds..."
It's a "new" ESXi server version 6.0.
It was a old server ESXi server version 5.1.
I think that a other system try to open a connection with root with no success !
Where can I find the IP address of this other system ?
It was my nagios server ...with a old configuration ...
Did you know you can actually edit an existing post to add/remove details rather than creating new replies?
I have a proposal for you.
If you use TECHNET (Microsoft), each time, you open a Request, the web site make a list of proposals to help you ("relatedd searchs").
It could be great, just before finish the new ticket, the web site analyse your Request, and propose to link ou to add comments inside an existing issue.
In fact, it's not so easy to find someone else who had the same problem ...
To come back to the issue, a other détails is that Nagios Support have the same problem; it's not Easy to find some else who already open the same kind of issue.
And, just after, enable the ESXi Inside the Nagios tool, the vmware ROOT account is blocked during 120 seconds !
Again, how to disable this functionnality ; I don't want that the ROOT account is blocked during any second ?
Do you know if some else ask for the same request ?
The error message is :
"[UserLevelCorrelator] [vob.user.account.locked] Remote access for ESXi local user account 'root' has been locked for 120 seconds after 126 failed login attempts"
"[UserLevelCorrelator] [esx.audit.account.locked] Remote access for ESXi local user account 'root' has been locked for 120 seconds after 126 failed login attempts"
