Virtual Printer not working on Mac OS Mojave and Fusion 11

Since upgrading to VMware Fusion 11, I have not been able to print from my Windows 7 guest.  I have tried to uninstall and reinstall VMware Tools and the Virtual Printer a few times already.  I still get the error message "no printer installed" when I try to print from Windows.

My issue's similar but even more frustrating.

Mac printer's shown in Control Panel, it's set as default and Windows 8.1 x64 lets me print a test page.

Which goes nowhere.

I've uninstalled (and reinstalled)

VMWare Tools

VMWare Printer

Mac printer

What's REALLY frustrating is the fact that I've got the identical config on another machine (but with High Sierra) and it works perfectly

You could uninstall the printer from Windows, then on the Mac use the built-in Printer Sharing feature.

Then just add a 'network printer' from Windows, it should see the shared printer.

This bypasses our virtual printer and givers the 'real' printer to both Mac and Windows at the same time.
