VCHA Deployment error - MethodFault.summary

Hi,

On deployment of the VCHA cluster using the Basic method:

The Peer & Witness nodes are successfully created & Powered On

The 'Deploy a vCenter HA cluster' task fails at approx 84% with a 'MethodFault.summary' status in the Web Client gui.

I've searched the /var/log/vmware/vcha logs for any meaningful errors for the status without success.

I've also tried a re-deploy by destoying the cluster from the VCSA cmd line and re-running the deployment which results in the same state.

This a 6.5 U2c VCSA.

Any ideas or guidance would be appeciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

I believe you should do a clean retry of enabling HA:

  • Turn off peer and witness machines
  • delete them from disk
  • access SSH the active vcenter
  • enable shell command by enterin word "Shell"
  • try the following "vcha-destroy"
  • redeploy the vcenter HA

Please consider marking this answer "CORRECT" or "Helpful" if you think your question have been answered correctly.

Cheers,

Thanks for your reply but I've destroyed the cluster re-run the deployment which results in the same state.
