Build version

Hi,

When finishing new virtual machine (Win10pro 64bits) I have been looking for build version number of the OS. What I see in my real Windows 10 Pro is build like 1809 but in virtual one no number appears. May I ask is there some differences when building in VM and building real OS and then there is no number of build?

My host PC is Windows 10 Pro Eng 64 bits build 1809

I am using Workstation 14 Pro

My guest system is Windows 10 Eng Pro 64 bits no version of build

PS: the question is on the base is we are troubleshooting there is always mention of build version...

Where exactly are you looking for the guest's version/build number?

There shouldn't be a difference between physical, and virtual machines. VMware Workstation only provides the platform for the guest OS.
