Unable to import catalogs vRA 7.5

Hi guys

I have installed and configured vRA7.5, and installed the ITSM 5.0 plugin for SNOW.

After I have registered the vRA and try to import the catalogs I get the below error:

Exception caught inside VRASNRegisterVRA.updateAuthToken: ConversionError: The undefined value has no properties.

PLEASE can anyone assist?

thank you

Clear cache and run again.

Cache can be cleared by writing cache.do and clicking Enter in serviceNow left nav pane.

Note- We have new version of application(V5.1)available on serviceNow store which has some fixes over V5.0.

Please use V5.1 instead of V5.0.

Unfortunetely no luck.

I have upgraded the plugin, when I run the import catalogs, it show processing but nothing happens after that.

Have you given read, write, delete access to all tables mentioned over user doc?

If Yes please check if script include 'JSUtil' is marked accessible from all scope.

If this is also done then please delete catalog and categories data and re-import it.

Yes I yes access granted and made it accessible from all scopes.

I'm now getting error code code: 403 - Forbidden username/password combo when importing catalogs.

But when I register vRA it was successful

We have seen similar issue with one of the customer where he was able to import catalog items and categories but was seeing 403 - Forbidden username/password combo error for Resource import.

Issue was resolved giving required roles to Service user in VRA.

As per user Guide-

In order to import items, the integration users must be a business group manager within the business groups that you want ServiceNow to manage. The integration user does not require a role within ServiceNow.

Please check user roles in vRA which used for vRA registration in Servicenow and try importing again.

Regards,

Manish

Check MidServer status under left nav Mid Server ->Servers

Most probably there is an issue with MidServer

Manish, thank you very much for your assistance. ServiceNow is importing catalogs.

Last question, I have my vRA appliance in one vCenter, but vRA is configured to deploy in a different vCenter so when I request a VM via ServiceNow it's not deploying.

Should the appliance be in the same vCenter where the deployments will reside?

What error you are seeing for VM deployment when done through ServiceNow?

Also are you able to deploy VM for same blueprint within vRA?

There is no error in ServiceNow.

But yes I can create deploy\request from vRA.

Good day Manish

Have you seen below error before when you request a vm from vRA servicenow portal?

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?

pastedImage_0.png

In vRA it does see the storage and the reservation policies have been configured correctly.

Hi Manish

After downgrading back to v5.0 we can now successfully deploy from the ITSM plugin.

All looks good.
