Since the Multi-write flag for a VMDK will not support Clone and Snapshot capabilities, what solution can I use to back up a VM with a multi-write disk?
In such cases you may use an classic, agent based backup method, i.e. the backup agent installed in the guest OS.

Thanks, Anrdré. Any solution that you might recommend? Maybe Veeam using the agent (even if it's for physical machines)?
The Veeam agent would be fine, but it's not only for physical machines. It can be used for any type of system so long as it's a supported OS.
