There is no need to recover name-ctk.vmdk files.
Instead delete all entries related to ctk.files from your vmx-file.
Then reregister the VM and tell your automatic backup software to create a new full backup next time.
It may bepossible to recover ctk.vmdks in some cases but usually it is not worth the effort.
