Let's say I have a pool of linked-clones. A user logs into workstation A for first time...."hello welcome to Windows" etc and logs out. Same user then logs into workstation B, but goes through the same "hello welcome to Windows"...isn't UEM supposed to resolve this? Folder redirection is active as well.
Uem doesn't fix this, the issue you are seeing is a profile is getting created on logon every time, what uem does is redirects the users folders so that profile can access those every time. UEM also exports application configs on logout and imports them on login to make these new profiles look like they are the same. To fix this the first thing you need to do is use a local gpo to disable this policy
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon, and set Show first sign-in animation to Disabled
This is what your seeing, its still creates that new profile, but that message doesn't show up all the time. Take a look at

for other settings that may help

Even though I agree with you sjesse it would be great if we were able to capture this. We did try to keep track of the Active Setup (default EM setting) and it does seem to keep track of a few things but why does Microsoft not point you into the directions of the keys and files you need to keep track so logon will be not as extrmeley slow as it is now...
These are the keys btw.
