Is this device physically part of the host PC, or a USB connected device? If USB connected, then you should be able to disconnect it from the host and attach it to the guest, which can then recognize it and install the drivers for it.
It is a USB external device (its a samsung phone in download mode). It doesnt appear in the list of Removeable Devices. Thanks for the information, I will keep trying.
If the Samsung phone is trying to connect via USB3 then you should know that USB3 support is not natively supported by Windows 7.
What you should do is make sure that the virtual hardware has USB3 mode enabled for the USB controller and then download the drivers from intel that are required to be able to use USB3 in your VM.
