I am a VMware administrator in Vancouver, Canada. I am looking to get specific reports from vCenter server for our production environments. We had try SolarWinds, VMware vCOPS but not luck on getting the reports that we need. Could you please point me or give me a hint on where can I find PowerCLI scripts for the following reports? Your help will be much appreciated!
- Total VMs by folder
- CPU usage by folder
- Memory usage by folder
- Storage usage by folder
- VMs off by folder
- Resources waste:
. Idle VMs by folder
. Oversized VMs by folder
. VM CPU overallocated by folder
. VM memory overallocated by folder
Did you already do a search in the VMware PowerCLI community?
Sample scripts for most of what you are looking for can be found in there.
For oversized and overallocated you will have to come up with a definition yourself.
