vSAN data consistency

Hello all,

I need some advice to my current situation. Please freely advice any.

I have three nodes vSAN.

Hardware = 3 NOs x HP DL380 Gen 9

ESXi version = 6.5.0 (Build Number 7388607)

In vsan health check it shows with vSAN Critical Alert - Patch Available for vsan data consistency. As I have read the KB but need to confirm with suggestions because all VMs are running on that vsan datastore.

The only solution is to update right? We don't let upgrade to 6.7U1 now. So please provide me to which patch can solve this alert. If we update the patch of esxi, do we need to update vsan too?

Have a great day.

With Regards,

Myat

Hello Myat,

"So please provide me to which patch can solve this alert. If we update the patch of esxi, do we need to update vsan too?"

As per the kb article there is a patch for ESXi 6.5 ( vSAN 6.6.) also -  ESXi 6.5 EP 09, build 10175896 - though do contact GSS before updating if possible.

vSAN is embedded in ESXi - there is no need to perform any updates other than ESXi build/version.
