Hello there!
I've done some research before posting here, but I could not find what I'm looking for.
I think there was a problem during the initial deployment of my vCenter ... (Please see the attachments)
How can I properly reduce the size of /storage/seat?
Currently 514GB free on 542GB total size.
I was thinking to reduce it at 100 Go, but I would take any advice on what would be the optimal size.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Hi,
I missed the previous update.
Seems that you will have to live with it.
Here is another thread where it was discussed: Reduce VCSA disk size
At least, if you have thin disks you won't waste all that space.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
I can't see any attachment on this thread.
Anyway, why did you deploy a VCSA with 500 GB?
Hello!
I've choosen "Small" in the deployement size when I upgraded, it should be 340GB total (According to this HowTo : )https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2018/04/upgrading-to-vmware-vcenter-server-vcsa-6-7/ )
I'm close to 100 VMs.
I added the attachments to this post.
Thanks for the help!
Cheers.
Nobody has an idea on how to proceed ?

There are ways to shrink the size (converter or attaching vmdk from a new vcsa) of /storage/seat.
I was able to help one of my customer to reduce /storage/seat from 1.4TB to 100GB.
