Upgrade vCenter V5.5U2 Windows to vCenter Windows V6.5U2c

Hi, I want to upgrade Windows vCenter V5.5 to vCenter Windows V6.5U2. V6.5U2 is the latest possible version for the hardware HPe Dl380 Gen8. Then I can check the new vCenter V6.5 with the (OLD) hosts V5.5.

After that I will update all hosts from V5.5U2 to V6.5U2.

There is no other special application like View or SR, only standard vmware.

Is that the correct way?

You should not upgrade your Windows 5.5 vCenter to another version also on Windows because this platform is dead. Instead, you should migrate to the vCSA on 6.5 as it is the go-forward platform for vSphere.
