VMWare Player and VLANs

Hi

I have a problem concerning VLANs and virtualization. The setup is as follows. Our developers are about to get Virtual Maschines with Linux (centos) guests on their desktops. The host machines are Windows 10. Each machine has only one NIC installed and connected to the internal LAN. On this single Lan cable there should be 2 vLans:

Default VLAN 1 for the windows hosts (configured as default vLan on the switch ports)

VLAN id 311 for the VM (different setup for routing/firewall/proxy)

The Network for the VM must be set to bridged, because doing web development, the developers must be able to access the webservers installed on the VMs via browser. The original plan was to use VMware Workstation Player 15, install the Linux, configure the vLan in the guest and it just works. But no packets left the VM while pinging the default gateway of the vLan 311. To me it looks like something is dropping all vLan packages concerning the vLan 311. The questions are:

How to configure our cisco switch port to pass two VLANs traffic?

Are vLans supported by VMware Workstation Player 15 or Workstation after all?

Are they supported in a setup like this?

How is it done? Must the be configuration under Windows as well?

Help would very nice

Greetings Mahdi
