Error while installing Windows Server 2016 on VMware

I am trying to install Windows Server 2016 on VMware Workstation Player 15.

This are my configurations. I've downloaded ISO from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-server-2016

Then I chose Installer disk image file option

I only change 4 CPUs, 3GB RAM, other options are left as they are. At the end it boots up normally and shows 'Microsoft can't find Software License Terms' error shown above.

I've also tried to choose 'I will install the OS later' option then from CD/DVD settings to upload the ISO, but again it writes unsuccessful on the screen in the end.

My question is how can I resolve this problem? I am downloading the currect ISO? Or I have to configure other settings of VM Workstation Player?

Thanks for your time!

Looks like Workstation created a bad answer-file for the easy install option.
Try an installation without Easy Install - use the "I will install later ..." option.

Hi,

Looks like the .iso file is not being detected correctly.

Here is below I have tried and seems to work.

1. Create a dummy VM, without .iso, if this boots up fine, than the issue is most likely is residing at the .iso end.

2. Download and install a new .iso for 2016.

Can you burn it to a cd and see if you can get past that part on a physical machine?
