    vRSLCM 2.0.2 Product Binary mapping.

    marsherian Novice

      Hi All,

I had a set of corrupted product upgrade binaries, I have manually downloaded them to /data/myvmware/$PRODUCT/$VERSION/upgrade/ and saved the SHA-256 sum in a file adjacent to the ISO /ZIP

      ./vrni/3.9.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Network-Insight.3.9.0.1536339775.upgrade.manifest

      ./vrni/3.9.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Network-Insight.3.9.0.1536339775.upgrade.bundle

      ./vra/7.5.0/upgrade/VMware-vR-Appliance-7.5.0.458-10053539-updaterepo.manifest

      ./vra/7.5.0/upgrade/VMware-vR-Appliance-7.5.0.458-10053539-updaterepo.iso

      ./vidm/3.3.0/upgrade/identity-manager-3.3.0.0-10084102-updaterepo.manifest

      ./vidm/3.3.0/upgrade/identity-manager-3.3.0.0-10084102-updaterepo.zip

      ./vrli/4.7.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Log-Insight-4.7.0-9983377.manifest

      ./vrli/4.7.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Log-Insight-4.7.0-9983377.pak

      ./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-7.0.0.10098132.manifest

      ./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-7.0.0.10098132.manifest

      ./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-7.0.0.10098132.pak

      ./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-7.0.0.10098132.pak

      ./vrbc/7.5.0/upgrade/vRealize-Business-for-Cloud-7.5.0.23646-10043545-updaterepo.manifest

      ./vrbc/7.5.0/upgrade/vRealize-Business-for-Cloud-7.5.0.23646-10043545-updaterepo.iso

I have confirmed that the manifest files are ONLY the SHA sum:

./vrni/3.9.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Network-Insight.3.9.0.1536339775.upgrade.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vra/7.5.0/upgrade/VMware-vR-Appliance-7.5.0.458-10053539-updaterepo.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vidm/3.3.0/upgrade/identity-manager-3.3.0.0-10084102-updaterepo.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vrli/4.7.0/upgrade/VMware-vRealize-Log-Insight-4.7.0-9983377.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-7.0.0.10098132.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vrops/7.0.0/upgrade/vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-7.0.0.10098132.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

./vrbc/7.5.0/upgrade/vRealize-Business-for-Cloud-7.5.0.23646-10043545-updaterepo.manifest: ASCII text, with no line terminators

However, within the UI the Add button never becomes active, and the UI displays " Fetching Product OVAs. " infinitely.

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be most appreciated.

          Hi

We shall not copy the manually downloaded binaries to /data/myvmware/{product}/{version}/{installtype} folders.

Instead, please copy the manually downloaded and non corrupted files to '/data/local' folder.

No need to create sub folders for each product/version/install types, just dump all of them to '/data/local' folder.

Plase copy only the actual binaries(iso, ova, pak, bundle, etc,), no need to copy metadata files.

Now in Add product binaries page select location type as 'Local',  and for the base location path filed enter /data/local, click on discover.

Select all the files you wanted to map and click on Add button. Wait for some time, the valid binaries will be mapped and you can see those mappings in product binaries tab.
