ESXI server not booting

I have had this standalone ESXI server for almost a year now. It has about 4-5 Vm's on it. This morning it went offline. The hosting company did a reboot but it did not boot. So all they can offer me to boot from rescue cd or to reprovision the server. I ran fdisk and it does show the HD but partition shows unknown. I am not sure if that's just the unused space.  Also shows Microsoft Basic data which I assume are the windows Vm's.

Any help on how I can trouble shoot what the problem is?

Is there no out of band management configured? I suggest to have a look why the server is not booting by checking the host state using out of band management.
