RickVerstegen Sep 17, 2018 8:25 AM (in response to stang888)Can you check if you have enough free space available and have a look in /var/log/vmware/applmgmt/software-packages.log which logs a temp file location where you can follow the steps during the upgrade. And in what state is the appliance manager? You can login via https://appliance-IP-address-or-FQDN:5480.

stang888 Sep 19, 2018 5:51 AM (in response to stang888)Even though it never said it anywhere I found out that the root password was expired. Reset the password and now the update worked. Thanks for everyone's help!
