        >>>> It's not a lab; we plan to go to production, asap.

This is a very very bad idea. If you're planning on putting this into production do NOT deploy vCSA to VMware Workstation on the same host as a DNS server. This is not an appropriate configuration for a production environment.

        >>>> VMware never write this requirement .

It's common sense, and VMware doesn't need to spell it out. You're consolidating roles which don't work well together. It's not a good idea.

        >>>> I already ask to VCSA to use the ESXi as time server; I plan to review my configuration to use the DNS server as Time Server.

Then your ESXi time may be off. Time keeping is essential and must be in sync all the way across the board.

I just start to install the VCSA version 6.7.0d

You have the same issue, regardless of version. If the vCSA made it through the installation but failed to configure network, then the deployment failed. If vCSA 6.7 fails during deployment it's the same thing. You're not providing much information nor showing anything about what you're doing. In these cases, there's not much anyone can do to help you other than guess. No one can read minds.

              Hello,

I try to install the version 6.7.0d without success ; the first step (installation) never go to the end; I have no opportunity to configure VCSA.
Then, I delete the VM dedicated to VCSA 6.7.

I try (again) to install the version 6.5 with success, on a VM (vmware Workstation).
But again, I have the same first error message : "Failed to Confgure Network".
But for each step, I make many photos .I will join them, in few minutes.

Ok, now I see what you're trying to do. You didn't say you had Workstation Player. I thought you had regular VMware Workstation. You're trying to deploy vCSA via Workstation Player and that's not going to work, so you need regular VMware Workstation Pro if you want to deploy vCSA, or, alternatively, you need to deploy directly to an ESXi host.

I read this : Failed to start LSB: Vmware PSC CLient

And the final solution is not to use an external IP adress, for the NTP server.
On my configuration, I just ask to use the ESXi server as NTP server. But, I never see any field where I can specify the IP or the hostname or the FQDN of on of the ESXi server...

I already try on WMware Workstation Pro 14 (and also 12) without success.
                    With exactly the same errors.

What do you mean by "regular" ?

And Also, why WMware Workstation can't do the job; I need more technical explanations ?

VMware Workstation Pro is a totally separate product from Workstation Player. You have Workstation Player according to your screenshots, and that won't support deploying vCSA. Also, if you have used VMware Workstation Pro then the screenshots you're providing aren't showing the actual deployment process. Look at this article. Are you getting those exact screenshots? Especially this one?

                      deploy-VCSA-6.5-on-VMware-Workstation-14_5.jpg

If you aren't seeing this screen where you input this information, it isn't being done correctly. If you ARE seeing this screen, then this is what I'm asking you to show because otherwise I can't tell what you're doing at installation time.

                        Actually,
I reinstall the VMware Workstation Pro version 14 on my Windows 2012 (physical server with RAM 12 Gb and 4 Cores) to follow your proposal, even if I already do it ...

Is it mandatory to provide a Licence Key for VMware Workstation Pro 14 ?

I choose "Tiny Vcenter Server" ...

The new error message is :
"Failed to start services. Firstboot Error"

Then, I restart the VM VCSA....

The, I go to the link :

                          https://<servername fqdn>:5480/#/installer?locale=fr

I allow the certificat and the exception (through Mozilla Firefox)

And the second new error message is :

"Impossible to use or repair this system, because a fail is detected. You must deploy a new system."

                          Details

"The supplied system <domain name> is not valid" :

Then, it seems that the FQDN is not valid.
I already check it though NSLOOKUP.

I plan to redeploy a new VCSA and make photos, step by step...

Finally, the last installation is done with success.
The only things I see : I don't write the right class of the network : /26 (and not /24)  and I don't wirite the  VCSA fqdn value  , but the DNS domain name ...

Then, make the photos and I will build  a clear documentation

And, now considering the host physical server (DELL R620, RAM 12 Gb 1CPU  4 CORES), and the VMWARE WORKSTATION PRO 14
I have the feeling, that the final performances are very poor.

I configure the RAM : 10 Gb for the VCSA, and I have 900 Mb free ...
How to dicrease the RAM size used by VCSA : 8 Gb ?

I also try without succes to enable the Intel VT Technology inside the VMware Workstation, but the VCSA needs many times to start ...
(Intel VT technology is enabled at CPU level, in the DELL BIOS)

My feeling is bad, it's just a feeling.
If I compare the time necessary to deploy VCSA inside a VM based on a ESXi server, and the same activty with VMware Workstation Pro; it's not so good.
I do the entire job, in less than 2 hours on a VM based on the ESXi (host is DELL 740 with RAM 32 Gb, and 32 cores), and the performances are not the same.

And also, I need to ADD multiple things inside the web interface of the VCSA :
                              + DATASTORE
                              + DATA CENTER
                              + CLUSTER

                              + HOSTS (2 ESXi)

                              ...

                              etc...

In fact, for the moment VCSA a "empty shell"...no hosts, no cluster, nothing
Each time, I try to add a components, the sytem search for a very long time but doesn't find nothing.

The only thing I can do is to make a new virtual disk,

and hope that I can add my new DATASTORE Inside this new virtual disk .....

I told you this earlier in this post that performance is going to be terrible and you should never deploy vCSA on Workstation in production. And, no, you should never downsize vCSA from the Tiny specifications. Do not decrease memory to 8 GB.

So let me say it again more plainly:

If you are doing this as a lab/learning environment, it is OK to install vCSA into VMware Workstation Pro (not Player) to experiment.

If you are in a production environment, you should NEVER deploy vCSA into VMware Workstation Pro.
