Fusion 10.1.2, Linux VM crashed during boot and did not shut down

I had to force Fusion to quit as it was stuck is some unknown state with my linux vm.

I have deleted the .lck files and fusion still shows it as "running" when I restart it.

How can I recover this?

I was able to fix it by using the vmware-vdiskmanager -R utility.
