Hi,
I notice in my vmkwarning.log file, there are many messages like:
cpu38:943803)WARNING: SVM: 5594: scsi0:0 VMX took 2368 msecs to send copy bitmap for offset 2147483648. This is greater than expected latency. If this is a vvol disk, check with array latency.
I have vSphere 6.5 and datastores are accessed via NFS v3 mounts so vvol does not apply here.
Could someone explain:
1. what is SVM?
2. is there a way to tell which VM or datastore this is referring to? may be 5594 refers to something?
Thank you.
Can you please provide more logs.
vCenter log (Vpxd.log) may help you in this.
