None of this should be necessary if you deployed the vCSA through the proper installation wizard.
I am not running Windows, so there is no installation wizard.
Deploying directly from the OVA is a standard method for deploying VSCA, unless it is broken or deprecated in 6.7.
It doesn't matter, there is a deployment wizard which takes care of the deployment of the OVA. The OVA itself is not meant to be deployed outside of said wizard.
You are correct, deploying the OVA does not work in 6.7. Moreover, it doesn't fail until the very last step when vcenter tries to start up services.
The Mac installed worked OK from my laptop and ran OK from the mounted ISO files.
