Put Log Insight Agent not working when deployed to VM from template

Hi all,

I put Log Insight Agent Version 4.6.0 on a Windows 2012R2 VM; got it working; then made that VM into a template; created 15 VMs from template; none have connected back to Log Insight.

What should I do to fix this?

What should I have done to the template so the LIA connected back automatically without any further work from me.

Yeah, that won't work as you've discovered because the IDs are duplicates. What you'll need to do is incorporate an installer script in your template deployment process either as a command in the customization spec, a script that sits on your template, or through vRA as a software component. If you want to reuse the code, check the link to that software component I wrote. It's fairly simple.
