Hello!
I've been evaluating Horizon and created a desktop pool from a template but every VM has the same DNS name as the template! I've set up a guest customization and selected "use VM name as guest OS name" and "generate new security ID" but it does not look like this customization is being applied to any of the machines. I have not sysprepped the template with sysprep.exe (I'm coming from Hyper-V where you are required to sysprep an image, not sure how to handle this portion on VMWare).
Also when I went in and removed a VM from the domain and then rejoined it with a new, unique name View Admin console deleted the machine and didn't generate a new one 
Can anyone point me in the direction of a desktop pool with unique machine names?

Have to you tried to point to the guest customization in the desktop pool setting as shown below. If not please try it and it should change the DNS based on the inputs of guest customization file.
