You need a second network card, or connect an existing adapter not directly to the Internet, but to the router.

make a new vlan and attach a new vnic to the vms and use it for separate traffic.

I second the suggestion that you should add a NIC to the host. https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/support/landing-pages/virtual-supp...

However you can setup NAT and Routing so the VMs use either local networking or has an access to the Internet. nat - Setting up VMWare ESXi 5 with a single physical NIC - Server Fault

Create a new vSwitch without physical nic.

Add one additional network adapter for both the virtual machines in same IP segment. Add the second network interfaces of both the virtual machines to the new vswitch created.

Now you will have the setup like this

1. VM1 -- > contains two network interfaces , one facing to internet and another is internal

2. SQL machine has a network interface which can connect to VM1.

In the above case, you can access the VM1 and from that you can take RDP to SQL machine , the connectivity will go via second adapters on both machines.
