How to deploy a VM from an OVF/VMDK disk?

Hi folks,

Im trying to bring back an old VM that was backed up as OVF, I have the .ovf and the .vmdk files currently in the ESX datastor i want to place it.

I´ve tried to create a NEW empty VM and add the existing .vmdk files (3 in total), but when I try to start the VM the disk that I already attached to the VM appears like 0 MB.

Any ideas?

there's no option to deploy an OVA from a datastore. Download the OVA to the system on which you run the vSphere Client, and deploy it from there.
