VM Guest: NAT is faster than Bridge

Hi,

Issue: Internet througput normal in NAT but very slow in Bridge

Version: VMware® Workstation 14 Pro 14.1.1 build-7528167

The host gets around 300 Mbps downoad in speedtest. The vm guest (NAT) gets around 290 Mbps download but when in bridge mode the download speed goes down to around 90 Mbps. I tried using the built-LAN and a dedicated LAN but the results are the same. Below are the LAN and driver version:

• Built-in: Intel I219-V

          Driver: 12.17.8.7

• PCIE LAN: Intel PRO/1000 PT

          Driver: 9.15.11.0

Things I did that didn't work

• Edited the VMX file to use: ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3"
• Edited the VM Settings for "Network Adapter" to use "Bridged" Network connection AND also checked the box to "Replicate physical network connection state"
• QoS disabled in the router

What are your host and guest system? Download files using Http or FTP protocal?
