NSX

can NSX be configured and utilized without making any changes to the existing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network? we use Cisco networking equipment

If you can provide a topology and share the overall traffic flow I can certainly provide some inputs . In general NSX doesn't demand a L2/L3 change ( Except MTU-only if there is VXLAN integration ) ,but without understanding current architecture and business use case it is slightly tough to answer if there is a change required or not . One classic example would be you have plans to bring the gateway all the way to hypervisor layer , but there are other physical devices sharing same gateway in that case we need careful planning . Like this ,based on existing design and use cases, situation might demand changes
