Using VMware Workstation 14 Player to create a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) virtual machine, when I select the .iso file (rhel-server-7.4-x86_64-dvd.iso), the dialog says that 'Easy Install' will be used. Apparently, this performs a minimal installation. I wanted to do a 'server with GUI' installation, but never had a chance to specify this.
I deleted the VM and started over, creating an empty disk VM and using that. I believe there were a number of choices in addition to 'Minimal Install' and 'Server With GUI'. I understand that the object is to do an unattended install, so if the type of install can't be given during the install, perhaps allow the user to do a non-easy install without having to create an empty disk first.
