Hi,
I have enabled the save printer options-
#
# Expanded settings for Windows Common Setting 'Printers':
#
[IncludeRegistryTrees]
HKCU\Printers
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Devices
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PrinterPorts
[IncludeIndividualRegistryValues]
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Device
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\UserSelectedDefault
The issue I have is that the printer shows up that the user added, but it is not saving the default printer they selected. How can I save this setting when a user logs out?
Hi sillej,
It might be the case that Horizon's ThinPrint component is "hijacking" the default printer. Maybe KB2145750 is helpful?
Hi sillej,
That configuration should do the trick, so there's probably something else going on. Can you tell us a bit more about your setup? Are you using Horizon? Can you provide a FlexEngine log file (at log level DEBUG) that covers a full session from logon to logoff?
Thank you for responding and sorry for the lack of environmental information.
This is a new Horizons 7.4, UEM 9.3, and Windows 1709 with the March patches. Using linked-clones floating desktops.
After adding what I posted above, I am able to add network printers and they will persist, but the issue is if the default printer is changed to something out then it will not save that change on logout/login.
I have attached the debugs showing the 092 printer changed to the default printer, logged out and then logged back in.
Thanks.

Like UEM dev said. Thinprint is most likely the culprit. Remove it or set to manual with a trigger if users need it.
Thanks for your assistance. By disabling Thinprint, the user is now able to change the default printer and it will persist.
Thank you.
