VMware Workstation Pro on Windows 10 - VM Screen Black when Sophos FW IPV6 blocking enabled

VMware Workstation Pro works great on Windows 10 as long as the Sophos FW is not blocking IPV6 traffic.

As soon as you tell Sophos FW to block IPV6 traffic you can't interact with the VM as it only displays a black screen.

I can't find any documentation on the Sophos side or VMware side that references this issue.

Also it does not seem that VMware Workstation is configured to use IPV6; it's not enabled anywhere.

Anyone else seen an issue like this?

Hi,

While this is the first time I hear the issues about Sophos FW, you are certainly not alone:

All VMs Start with Black Screen

and

VMware 14 Launch Virtual system black screen

It's a bit strange that changing a network configuration breaks the local screen display.

Hopefully VMware fixes it soon (personally I do not consider this a bug at any of the VPN software suppliers)
