vSphere 5: Unable to login to vSphere Web Client or vCenter Server Appliance

Hello everybody,

Unfortunately, I currently have the problem that I can not log in directly to the vCenter Server Appliance (VM) through the vSphere Web Client.
Have already changed the root password in the appliance via the Grub menu, but I can then log in the completely booted system not synonymous.
SSH login is always reported as wrong.

Does anyone have any idea or solution?

Looks like root partition is full.

Reboot the appliance, get into single user mode and clear out audit.log

There are cases when, when trying to connect to the vcenter with the help of the browser, it issues an authorization error. But in fact the service is not available. Attempting to connect using a different browser just shows that the service itself does not work. Try to make sure that the matter is in the authorization and not in the unavailability of the service.

I tested the connection now with firefox and internet explorer, but getting the following error:

503 Service Unavailable (Failed to connect to endpoint: [N7Vmacore4Http16LocalServiceSpecE:0x7f9a5c04fcb0] _serverNamespace = /vsphere-client _isRedirect = false _port = 9090)

This seems to be an issue with services please login in to VCSA and make sure that all the services were running

  1. Connect to the vCenter Server Appliance through SSH. For more information, see Enable or Disable SSH Administrator Login on the VMware vCenter Server Appliance section in the vCenter Server and Host Management Guide.
  2. Log in as root.
  3. Run this command in the SSH client:

    service –-status-all

  4. Scroll through the output to check the status of all services.
