Hello, I am reading this doc https://www.vmware.com/support/developer/converter-sdk/conv55_apireference/vim.vm.device.VirtualDevi... . The doc said not every device has a backing? I do not quite understand what is the backing property is? is it a temporary backup for device in case of losing data, or it is the persistent backend of a certain device (such as disk).
