- I have VMware system with below information:
+ 01 vCenter Appliance ( running SUSE) on host A
+ Information vCenter:
- OS: SUSE
- Storage: local data store host A
- Configed standard switch and distributed switch for vCenter system.
- I want to migrate vCenter host A to host B. Can you show me how?
Thank you very much
Assuming you are running vSphere 5.5 or newer, and you have vMotion configured, then you can migrate a VM with changing both, compute and storage (even without shared storage) at the same time from the Web client.

Thanks for your reply, but Io want to migrate all resource of the vCenter ( all resource running on the host A: CPU, Ram, datastore local host A) to the host B. As I know, migrate to host and datastore to another host must be shutdown virtual machine ( vCenter Appliance), how do to migrate when vCenter shutdown? Can you advice to me?
Hi buittuan1985
As a.p. mentioned above, when you login to vcenter in web-client. you can migrate a VM without shutting down (from 5.5 onwards, no need of vm cold migration).
find the below screenshot of one of my vcenter, where it is powered-ON, But still I am able to select the both compute resource and storage.
In the next steps, select your HostB and corresponding datastore etc.,
Hope this is helpful,
Use the Web client, the Windows client does not support this operation.
I using VMware vSphere Client do not have feature, which available in web-client?
Log in to vCenter Server by Using the vSphere Web Client

Yes it is available in only web-client, not in vsphere client.
As you see my picture the feature do not available? ( my system is VMware ESXi 5.5), can you show me how do show up?
Your picture shows that option available, You are confused with my picture (it is 6.5 vCenter.)
ok here is another with vcenter 5.5, change both host and datastore is the option to migrate all the resources
Okay...!!!
Thank you your question! Very helpful for me.
