Add NVMe to vms

Dear all

Hi

i see new feature in esxi6.5 with name NVMe controller in vmware documents mention if we add this to a vm it will be reduce software overhead by over 50%

now i want to know if i add this feature to all of my vms is that ok ?

i have read all of that documents but want to know NVME is a physical device ??

or when i add nvme to my machine from vm edit setting nvme will be active on that vm ?
