slow ovftool

OvfTool Version: VMware ovftool 4.2.0 (build-5965791)

ESXi 6.0 (newest patch).

I have deployed windows server 2012r2 for ovmtool instillation and export purpose.

VMs which I need to export and windows server on the same ESXi host. Storage based on ssd disk and not burdened.

Problem is with extremely slow export. It looks like ovftool has limitation of 100Mbps. I can't go beyond this speed.

I have no idea where is bottleneck or where I can search for it. Every parameters I was looking is much below its capabilities.

Is anybody know what parameter I could change, set something to speed-up this process.

I do not want to go with 3'rd party utilities like veeam....

If you are still experiencing this perhaps more description of environment could help identify the bottleneck.  Remember that the Ovftool just creates your Virtual Machine on host and then tries to copy all the disk images from source location to the target datastore where you are specifying.  So where those two are (i.e. source location of VM and target datastore for VM) could dictate the performance.
