Video Issues - Steam and Black Mesa

Same scene in Parallels and VMware Fusion - objects underwater disappear, walls are semitransparent - all this is video related - VM does not render these correctly and makes the game unplayable. The exact same scenes in //s renders correctly. I used the dame number of processors, video memory and CPU RAM in each virtual system.

Black Mesa/Steam.

Hi TomA70,

Would you please try with the vmx option "mks.enableMTLRenderer=0" and see if it helps?

Please shut down the VM before adding the vmx option to vmx file.

Thanks,

-Rick

This took care of the vanishing barrels in
"Apprehension" within Black Mesa - and the transparent walls. Thanks.

So we can get things reported to Apple so they can fix it, can you please share with us details about the scene?

How could we make it happen here ourselves? (please understand we don't have time to play the whole game through Smiley Wink)

Could you also provide a screenshot?
