Vmware-kvm don't stretch guest ?

Dear Vmware community members,

i use Vmware Workstation 14 Pro ( 14.1.1 build-7528167 ) on Windows 10 to run Windows NT4 guests running legacy applications.

The virtual machine is run using vmware-kvm.

The host screen resolution is 1280x1024, but the legacy application require 800x600 in the guest, so the NT4 guest resolution is set to 800x600.

My problem is that when using vmware-kvm, the guest resolution is changed to the host screen resolution.

I checked the "Stretch guest" checkbox in the vmware kvm preferences dialog, but no effect.

Seems no other way to prevent the guest resolution from being changed.

I did some tests on Vmware Workstation, running the same virtual machine, and switching to full screen: the guest screen was stretched, but no resolution change.

So it works as expected.

The only workaround i found with vmware-kvm is to disable the vmware-tools service in the guest, and reset the resolution to 800x600.

Could you tell me how to prevent resolution change in vmware-kvm ?

Thank you for any help.

Regards
