1. Re: An issue with ThinApp on Windows 10 1709
Lakshmana Prakash Feb 8, 2018 10:36 AM (in response to EitanN)As per ThinApp 5.2.3 release notes, it supports Windows 10 Creators Update (build 1703). VMware ThinApp 5.2.3 Release Notes
There is no mention about Fall Creators Update (build 1709), so i guess it is not supported yet.

EitanN Feb 9, 2018 2:06 AM (in response to Lakshmana Prakash)Hi Lakshman, thanks for your reply.
I just tested our solution on Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB (build 10240, please see screenshot below), and it shows similar messages - although the application does start, if I click "Cancel" several times when the Windows installer starts. On 1709 it doesn't start at all.
So maybe the issue is a bit different than I thought. Is that version of Windows supported?
By the way - is there any reason why ThinApp would try to run the .msi, although I don't think it's supposed to install anything at all?
If it matters, I'm building the solution with the .exe start-point, not using a .dat file.
Any comments appreciated, thanks,
Eitan

Lakshmana Prakash Feb 9, 2018 11:41 AM (in response to EitanN)Looks like the ThinApp is looking for some files from the Installer cache. It's worth giving it a try by capturing the application on Windows 10 and check if it helps?

KTa84 Nov 8, 2018 1:08 PM (in response to Lakshmana Prakash)Hi EitanN,
Were you able to figure out the issue? We are experiencing the same issue with 1709 and 1803. We tried rebuilding the package with version 5.2.4 with no luck.
thank you in advance.
