vSphere Replication and SRM on a VM

Due to contractural requirements, we have VMs protected with SRM.  These VMs are replicated via SAN replication between SANs and vCenters in different geographical locations.  We now have a project to migrate these SRM protected VMs to a different vCenter and location.  Can we use vSphere Replication 6.5 to replicate these SRM protected VMs to this other location?  The final migration to the new location is scheduled for 2-3 months in the future at which point the source VMs will be powered off.  If migration testing goes well, SRM on the source VMs will be removed.

It isn't supported to have a VM replicated by multiple solutions while protected with SRM. You could remove the VM from the SRM protection group, leave it on the replicated LUN, replicate it with VR, fail it over, remove the source from the replicated LUN, replicate and protect it with a different SRM instance at it's new destination.
