I have a Quantum SCSI LTO4 drive (with Adaptec controller) and my vm server doesn't see it.
Thing is i have had a SCSI LTO3 for a while and it works fine. Upon booting, go into the SCSI controller and view devices and the controller sees both the LTO3 and 4 drives.
I have been hunting and found one page with the command "esxcli nmp satp deleterule –satp VMW_SATP_ALUA –claim-option tpgs_on"
I tried the command in CLI but the command errored being this article was talking about a HP LTO i guess.
I keep reading that people are using LTO4, 5, and more in vm.
Does anyone know of a webpage what i need to type or do?
I know i am not supposed to set it up this way but i have a small environment and doing so would double my equipment count. 😛
TIA
