Cant upgrade from USB/ISO

hi all,

I am trying to use VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0.update03-5050593.x86_64 from USB to upgrade a standalone host with version 6.0.0 build 2494585.

I can boot off the USB, it can see up the top that its booting from the installer but once it finishes loading the modules I dont get any option to upgrade.

Instead it boots straight to the yellow screen, picks up a DHCP address and sits there as if I have booted from USB.

Any ideas how I go about upgrading this host via USB?

Thankyou

It shouldn't boot into yellow screen finally if you boot from an installer image. Please make sure you are using an installer image rather than an 'visor' image. You can identify them simply from size, the installer image is about 330MB and the visor image is only about 147MB. If you see an yellow screen you might boot into the visor.
