Automatic poweroff based on priority

Hi,

i have the following question for vsphere 6.5 Ent. Plus:

i have a 2 host cluster with enough RAM to run 3 big VM each, the first set of 3 VM is production, the second is quality.

If the host running production fails it's possible to configure rules that start the production set of VM on the other host shutting down the 3 VMs of quality?

This is necessary be necessary because there isn't enough host ram to run all the VM.

if it's possible, how?

Thanks a lot

No, vSphere HA does not have the capability. However, if you don't have a reservation set it is very likely that the VMs are powered on anyway by vSphere HA. What you could do of course is manually power off the VMs.
