We have a 5.5 cluster and a 6.5 cluster.
Single Sign-On Settings have been configured on both to be identical. (AD Authentication to one of our domains)
When using the Connect-ViServer command to connect o the 5.5 cluster it does not prompt me for credentials because my Active Directory account already has rights to vcenter.
However, when connecting to the 6.5 vCenter it always prompts me for credentials.
I have no issues signing in but we have a few automated processes that are now broken because it seems that integrated authentication is not working on the 6.5 vCenter the same way as it did with 5.5.
Anyone else have this issue? Or did vmware just make changes to PowerCLI?
There have been a couple of mentions of that behaviour in the last couple of weeks.
It looks to be an issue, I would suggest to open a SR.
Scripted Connect-VIServer prompts for credentials when connecting to vCenter 6.5 Appliance
