'A few years ago there were discussions on the following question but no answer was provided. I am bang up to date on my iMac (desktop) running vmWare Fusion. Now all of my slide shows (video) are very Choppy, on playback. Is there an answer to this problem?

Hi,

Please attach a vmware.log file from your VM

  • What kind of software are you using for your slideshows?
  • What iMac are you using?

Did you install VMware Tools and if so, have you tried reinstalling VMware Tools? (uninstall - reboot - install)

Hi ronniebootwest,

VMware Fusion does not support hardware acceleration for video decoding, the performance of video playback (especially for the HD video) depends on your CPU's capability,

Hope it makes sense for you.
