We are patching our esxi hosts and would like to know if both 20171101001s & 20171104001 profiles need to be applied ?

esxcli software sources profile list  --depot=/vmfs/volumes/******/removed/*****/ESXi600-201711001.zip

No, the "s" profiles contains security fixes only. In order to patch the host, use the "ESXi-6.0.0-20171104001-standard" profile.
