RAID virtual drive for the disk participating in vSAN disk group

HI,

We are in process of installing vSAN. We have single RAID controller (CISCO 12 GB). Total 10 front disks are connected to this RAID controller (2 disk for Boot in RAID 1 + 1 SSD + 7 HDD ). We have created the RAID 1 to install the ESXI but do we need to create RAID from  rest of the 8 disks, i guess no,right ? as those disks will be directly added to disk group in vSAN. can any one confirm this.

regards

Yes, just pass those disks through and don't put them under a RAID level.
