Change Raid to HBA VSAN 6.6

Hello Guys

In a vsan with host Dell R730xd and Perc H730, the controller was configured who Raid Mode but the disk show non-raid.

Now by a problem with disk, TS has recommended changing raid to hba but the host is in production and I do not know if changing from Raid to HBA the controller affects the vSAN configuration with this change.

My question is if it is possible to change from Raid to HBA without affecting the disks that are already in non-raid.

regards

Sebastian

You'll have to evacuate that node and rebuild the disk group.

Hello Sebastian,

Is it just one node set up like this or all of them?

I would advise to be safe that this node be evacuated of all data and the disk-groups removed before changing this (if possible).

Good guide on this:
