well i one of those how risk to much so
today i did something really bad {#rm -i ****-delta.vmdk}
i didn't know that snapshot is like chain i was thinking it's just a backup
so my question can i rebuild or recover that delta.vmdk from what i have right :

You can try to restore a VM from backup or you can ask for a help somebody who can do a magic with deleted files. However it should cost some money.
Nope, if you deleted the delta you deleted the snapshot extent itself. Time to restore from backup.

i did create new VM with the "flat.vmdk" ,it's working fine but it's old version i think it's before the snapshot
so there's no way to rebuild the delta from the descriptor !!!!
Unfortunately no, you can create a descriptor (metadata) file from a data file, but not the other way around. To restore a data (flat, delta) file, you'd need to find a way to restore/recover it from the datastore itself.
